Marketing with Youtube videos will make you money, however there are a few things you need to do in order for it to work for you.

I ran a service helping people with there Youtube videos and found many people don’t know for sure how to get their videos to rank in Youtube, Google or both.

The following information is to help you understand what Youtube and Google are looking for when ranking videos.

First is keywords, the keyword phrase you are targeting needs to be the title of your video. I will have a post on keyword research for video later so watch for that it is very important that you do the research.

The name of your video file you upload from your computer should also use the keyword phrase as well. Such as how-to-train-a-dog.mp4. It may sound dumb but I have found it DOES make a difference.

You also need to have the phrase in your discription for the video. Another thing to make sure you add in your discription is your web address typed in whole with http:// example http://www.advancemarketplace.com it will become a hotlink or clickable link in your discription, many people miss this one, don’t forget to link!

So if someone types into Google or Youtube “how to train a dog” your video title How To Train A Dog, video file how-to-train-a-dog.mp4 and how to train a dog in your discription will be looked at as relevant to the search phrase.
